Total Office Space moments....

So let's say I know this person, hypothetically, who works in an office, where the CFO sends out an email that was intended for the CEO and the Board.

This hypothetical email covers a list of many people who are to be laid off in the next few weeks, including information such as their SALARY, and the severance they will be receiving in the attachment, which is password protected.

Hypothetically the password is included in the text of the email.

Hypothetically, the email goes out to more than half of the company. :shocked::faint:

People hypothetically start checking their email after the CFO runs out of the CFO's office, grabbing any IT person that the CFO can find, yelling "SHUT IT DOWN!!!! SHUT IT DOOOOOOOWN!!!" (Yeah, like *THAT* toothpaste is going back into the tube!!!)

Then many, including some who are not even on the list, hypothetically shut off their computers, clean out their desks, and LEAVE. Keep in mind, this is a significant percentage of the company.

The CEO later characterizes this mistake as "a minor email error"..... :rofl:

Hypothetically speaking, those that were going to get laid off with a severance package would be really stupid to have walked out. :supergrin:

ETA: You know it's going to be a bad day at work when news station camera crews are outside the front doors when you arrive at work in the morning. ;)

No, it's not me... but I do know someone who's probably going down in the next round of layoffs, if the company survives the lawsuit poopstorm that this sure to cause... I do not work for this company....

I can't believe this happened this way... It's like a surreal movie.. like what it must have been on the Titanic. LOL

The packages were small for the most part, and those on the list are still getting them. They had to let everyone go that day for "damage control". That's like trying to do "damage control" on the Hindenberg..... :faint:
