Mag release button keeps backing out

While at the range this a.m., the mag release backed out, I inadvertently hit it with my thumb, and the magazine dropped out the magwell. Good thing this happened at the range. Is fixing this simply a matter of putting loctite on the threads?

Is this a stock factory mag release ? Because Ive never seen one threaded.

It is not stock. I had some custom work done by Hawkeye Arms a few years back. They added an extended mag release and it is threaded.

I guess a drop of blue locktight would work. Me I would use stock unit . One less thing to worry about. I also don't use extended slide release . Fine for games but I want it KISS on my carry gun.
