Yes I definately think that we should be able to lock our guns in the car at work. I only wish I could take it in with me. I work back off the main road and there are only 4 women working and no security on duty. Plus our doors would be so easy for someone to break into.

I know the feeling. Years ago I used to work at a shop that was in a bad part of town. (So bad that one of the neighbors shot a guy that was jumping our fence to steal something. Shot him with a .22 rifle, guy ran down the road a ways and DIED! No joke. The old timer that shot him wind up getting off for it.) That kind of BAD! Any how, when I would have to work late (usually just a couple of us there) I'd go out to the car and get the Glock and put it near my work bench.
Several times we would have people slip in the shop on us, just looking around. Once a big dude came strolling in looking for air in his bike tire. (I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee back then) He says, "I see yall got that Cherokee out der." I quickly told him yeah and it's a piece of junk, I wouldn't take it if someone gave it to me.
Not sure of his intension's but it was still there when I got off work that night.

Most definitely, Guns in the work place, if needed!

In Texas you can have a gun in the car "if" you are legal to own a gun.

Unfortunately I can't even keep mine in my car at work, despite having a CCW permit. No guns allowed on school property. I'm a teacher.
