It was on the news a couple weeks ago here that somebody had come into a neighborhood during the day and stolen the aluminum siding off at least three houses!

This couldn't have been a fluke. It took some pretty good planning to have the ability to execute this that quickly.

Anybody heard of this elsewhere?

Happens all the time, in every city I work in. I get insurance claims for a lot of foreclosed houses where they come in and steal the aluminum siding and the copper wiring and plumbing. I don't get it, they spend way mpre time trying to get the stuff out of there then it is worth. If they went to McDonalds and worked the same amount they would make more money.
But they cause huge amounts of damage so it keeps me in business.

But going to McDonalds involves going to a job for 8 hours when they could just strip everything and have more time to smoke meth.

Foreclosures I can understand. People take the mentality of they are stealing from the bank, not a family. The three houses I am talking about were lived in. The people came home from work to discover their siding was gone.
