Black bear hunting

I am going Hunting this year for black bear in PA. Usually use my .30-06 for whitetail and would like to use it for Black bear. Any suggestions on ammo? I would think my 150gr soft points may be a little light/soft.

i carry a .30-06 as my scouting rifle. i carry winchester 180gr fail safes. a 180gr SP would work as well, but the fail safes have a steel instert that gives it better penetration.

i've yet to use one on an actual bear, and i didn't get drawn for a tag this fall :(, but i've tested them against a few others with some wet phone books and was really happy.
