video card pain in the butt

ok i have another question. I had another thread but it isnt getting any responses so im starting a new one.
I have a dimension 8200 p4 1.7 mhz 1024mb's ram 250watt power supply. agp x2/x4
looking to upgrade my video card...
now which would be better.
XFX PVT44AYAJG GeForce 6200 512MB
BIOSTAR V6802XA16 GeForce 6800XT 128MB


both are in my price range. one is a newer card but the other one has more memory. I am so confused about all of this. I have also heard that I have to have matching voltage on my motherboard vs the card. That some cards work on my computer and some dont (BFG is supposed to be one that is notoriously hard to install, at least according to the dell forums.

Basically someone tell me the best card to put in my system for under $60 , i have a geoforce 2mx 64mb's in it right now so any card would be a big upgrade from that.

I'm not sure a lot of video memory will help on an older AGP 4x motherboard. The 6000 series Nvidia cards are much better than the FX 5000 series which are closer to the old MX series. I think the 6600 was the top of the line 6000 series and the 6200 was missing a bit of something besides just speed but nothing noticeable in AGP 4x. I think the 6800 might be a factory overclocked card. I think anything in 6000 series will be better than the FX 5000 series. Too much memory and it might be difficult to power (power supply) and difficult to fit in the case.

The psu is a concern but people have said that the dell psu rating is the mean average and the maximum is actually 350 on the 250. Plus I dont have my 3.5 disk drive hooked up so I thought maybe that would help even if just a little bit.

The XFX has more memory (512 mb) and a 350 mhz. core clock speed compared to Biostar's 300 mhz. core and 128 mb's of memory. Of the two I would pick the XFX.
