Video and story are old, but I thought it would be interesting for you guys to see.
Two thugs rob an armored truck for 1.8 million dollars. Its all in one bag. As the guys are driving away the guard fires 3 shots at the car. All three hit the GROUND, not more than 4 or 5 feet in front of the shooter.

The guard was carrying standard pressure 9mm loads which have been known to just fall out of the barrel when not pushed to +p pressures:whistling:

My guess is that he was "pumping" the gun on each trigger pull, trying to get that extra 1-2 fps out of his roscoe. That's usually what makes me shoot low...
Maybe if he held it sideways, it'd hit right...?
I saw the video also and the same thing crossed my mind. It sure looked like he took his time firing and just tried to make it look like he tried to stop the "bad guys". I would have have left a lot more brass laying around also.

Video won't play for me but I think I saw this one a while ago.
Regardless of whether it was an inside job.
In most states it is illegal to shoot a fleeing suspect as your life is not in danger. I'm not including those with Castle Doctrine.
Perhaps someone that works in similar business can tell me if they are granted an exception. If so, the irony is clear.
I think since they are armed couriers they are allowed to protect their assets if someone is attempting to rob them.

That's the thing. Shooting at the ground isn't trying to protect anything. How hard is it to shot at a car 10 feet away, and did you notice how slow he drew the weapon?
