I basically want a moto-cross / dirt bike with a plate...I currently have a 2000 KLR 250 that is fun as heck but I crush the suspension when I jump..I'm ready for something better for the dirt and trails..Track worthy would be awesome..Any new DSs up to the task ???

Thanks in advance guys...

Rich

Bajadesigns.com + 2 cycle 250 motocross bike. Depending on what state your from, it may be easy (Illinois) or impossible. I have one of these kits on my 1995 yz 250. I am used to riding full speed or jamming on the brakes as you would off road. It's very hard to ride it slow but its ok for blasts around the neighborhood over ****cagos speedbumps. I need to post pics/vid of the bike. Did the conversion myself.

Great idea Jim but that would be impossible in PA...The only conversions I have any chance on is Honda XRs

OH..

Might have to find a XR400R laying around

Thought not a track machine, a DR-Z 400S is one of the best compromise bikes out there. I absolutely love mine. There are tons of aftermarket goodies available, the machine is extremely reliable, and I get between 55 and 68 mpg depending on where/how I'm riding.

+1 on the DRZ400. They are almost bulletproof and will be miles faster that your klr 250. Myself I went for a Dr650 with supermoto rims and brakes.

Take a look at the KTMs, and then get out your wallet.

Try the Aprilia RXV if you want something different. Ain't too many V-twin dirt bikes running around. But don't forget to bring a fat wallet.

With good reason.

The power is too much for most riders to handle.

The weight is too much for most good riders to stomach.

Fixed it for you.

Edit; I guess I was wrong about this one. Quite the bike to say the least but for $8500 give or take it should be. Where do I sign up?

I'm on the waiting list for the most capable of all 450's that come plated.

BMW G450X. I'll get it within a month or so.

Check them out in your area.
