View Full Version : Deleting Microsoft Office shortcut Bar
Bought a new laptop, so I'm having to reinstall all the programs.
After installing Microsoft Office the shortcut bar is back hanging around the edge of the monitor.
In the past I got rid of this shortcut bar but can't remember how I did it.
M2, it's been a long time since I did it, but have you tried right clicking on the toolbar and seeing what options it offers? Also, you may want to check your startup folder to see if it starts when windows starts and delete it from that folder. Sorry to be so absent minded on this. You may have to do a www.google.com search.
Unk, I found this at tech-recipes.com (http://www.tech-recipes.com/windows_tips136.html). It doesn't work on my system, but I don't have the toolbar installed:
1. Start -> Control Panel
2. Add/Remove Programs
3. Click on Microsoft Office
4. Click Change
5. Click Add/Remove Features
6. Click the "+" before Office Tools
7. Click on the gray box before Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar
8. Click Not Available with the red X
9. Click Update
10. Office will update itself.

TS that got me headed in the right direction.
I had to end up using the CD to basically do a reinstall after finding and un-checking the box for installing the shortcut bar.
