On the new G21SF with the Ambi-mag release, does anyone here like this feature? To me it seems the mag release's sticks out a little too far on the right side. Maybe its just me because I am used to the one mag release.
Also , can you get the G21SF with just the regular one mag release?
All I have seen have the Ambi releases. I really want the 21SF but it will be hard at first getting used to two mag releases.
Just bought a 21sf with regular Glock rail and single, left side only mag release. Great gun, very happy with it.

SWEET . I am glad they make them . But where I live all I can find are the ones with the picatinny rail and the amibi mag release . The one you got is the exact one I want .

Check with Top Glock. They used to have them.
Standard release comes with standard rail only.
Ambi release comes with standard or pict rail.
You could shave down the right side if it bothers you.

I may do that , but not shave it down so it is flush . Just enough to not get it caught on my other hand when shooting .

Can someone who has a G21 Ambi mag release show a pic of the inside of the mag well so we can see how the new ambi mag release mechanism works ? PLEASE , sorry to ask these weird questions guys .
Edit:
Sorry, I guess I took those pics down...

I got one too just in the past month! Took a lot of looking for my local FFL, I finally found one on Gallery of Guns and had a friend with an FFL receive it. I personally don't like the ambi release, my trigger finger touches it on the right side, plus on one I held and messed with, the release was not very positive as far as it didn't spring back well like the standard does when you press it, more like it slides back from side to side. Believe it was a poor design and not a really good idea for an otherwise neat gun.

I did not like the ambi mag release for the G21SF. For me, I kept releasing the mag when I would get a good solid grip.
I chose the G21SF with standard rail and standard mag release.

Yup, it's the part that goes into the magazine notch, but the silver part is just the top edge of it.
Did you watch the video?

I did!!! Do I get a free Glock from you Butch???
How durable is this mag release set up? I don't like the way the catch (it seems like a flat spring to me) just inserts into the slot cut into the plastic/polymer inner mag well. It seems that if the slot chips or breaks you will need a new frame unless it can be repaired.
Is the polymer thick enough in that area to be resistant to breaking?

Here's something that may help you....it's from Butch from a while ago - The part numbers are as follows.
G21SF with Pic rail + Ambi mag release = P92150203,
G21SF with Glock rail + Ambi mag release = P72150203
A G21SF with a Glock rail, standard sights, hi-cap mags, and a standard mag release is PF2150203
I know that you can't convert a 21SF with ambi catch to a non-ambi....
... but is it something that Glock themselves could do?

Only by replacing the frame.....it's a whole nuther different animal.

I haven't had a problem with hitting the right side release on accident. My grip puts the middle finger just beneath the release with the index finger either along the frame or flexed when it's on the trigger.

I have no problem with mine. I have never accidentally released a magazine. I think it takes more force to operate than my grip produces at the finger-to-hand joint. Yes, I feel it, but it's no big deal.

I've had no problems with mine, but I'm a lefty and like the ambi controls. Mine doesn't stick or bump my hand either.
