Hay GRIPHOTO do you like that red dot? what kind is it?

On this Gun a G34 the RE Dot is a Docter

On my G17 it is a Burris Fast fire II and on my Frankenglock-22 it is also a Burris Fast Fire II.

Whay did I change from Docter, Because I understand that Docter has gone out of business in Germany and if there is a problem, than it becomes a small paper weight.

Do I like it, One word YES!
Very easy to sight in and shoot, but if you are going to compete with it than you go into the Open Class.

How do you like that Skimmer? Is it really almost like a 1911?

How do you like that Skimmer? Is it really almost like a 1911?

The zero pre-travel and the crisp break feels like a 1911, but it's no 1911.

It was designed to be as close to a 1911 using factory Glock internals.

I highly recommend it, but it's pricey.

You're basically paying for the craftsmanship that went into these factory parts that will still keep the gun reliable. Jeff Wilson is no joke in the Glock community.

For the price, it can't be beat. Lights up rooms and can shine a good 20yds+.

I used a 45deg angle iron. Didn't have to sand it. I cut the access panel for the front as I really liked that on the Gen 2. My goal was a Gen2 grip with a Gen3 rail.

Looks very smooth.

Just keep moving, don't let the iron linger. You can always make multiple passes but it's hard to undo a deep hole. I just took the iron, set it to max and tapped it quickly making sure to vary the angle of attack and never stopping anywhere. The panels show up in the picture but you can't see them in person.

Here's a shot of the other side with the front strap showing better. It aint perfect but it was a damaged frame when I got it. Some cop's seatbelt did a real number on the frame.

I've always been a Sig guy (I own 3) but I picked up my first Glock last week. G19 Gen4. I added an extended slide lock lever, slide release lever and TLR-3, and a grip plug is on its way. And before anything is said, I checked that the gun was safe three times before I set up that last shot.

Hi, I'll post some pics before I offer this for trade.

MINT Gen 2 17

Imported Jun 1994 and still has the factory grease from 18 years ago. (there's no powder or signs of any wear at all so it may have never been shot..)

This is one of the first 200 Glock cutaways made. They are only available to Law Enforcement directly from Glock, but several have made their way to the private side over the years. I tracked this one down from a small gun shop on the west coast about a year ago.

Did I read correctly that you left it on the slide for 30 minutes?

I saw something strange in the slide and I tried to clean it with the cause of the problem. :crying:

30 minutes are not supposed to destroy the finish. MPro7 support told me they leave guns submerged for hours.

Other products like Ballistol and Breakfree were ok.

Remember I am talking about the new Gen4 finish, not Gen3.

CourtCop

Wow, I'm really surprised. Like I said I have used MPro7 for years with no problems. I have also left it on the slide for at least 30 min if I'm cleaning multiple guns. I don't have a Gen4, but I do have a newer Gen3 with the gray teflon like finish.

I like it a lot.

I honestly can't see any issue of the weapon being "less" safe after adding it, maybe it is because I use it? I added it for a "what if" scenario and it makes me feel more secure for that purpose.

because in firearms safety. the #2 rule is:

"ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot"

with siderlock. when you chamber a round then activate the safety, you mingle with the trigger.

Gotcha. Thanks!

I won't argue against that. With the distance of pull to fire, I am confident in the safety for me. I don't use the safety for carry, only in the home.

No I haven't. There seem to be a ton being sold "used" right now, and I wonder if that is part of the reason. A local range rents them, so maybe I'll rent before i buy.

Here are some of my Glocks, don't have pictures of them all, including my brand new Glock 24....mmmmmmm

First...one my my newest: G27 Gen4. I love this little gun, much nicer than my Gen4 G26...by far. It's a tad more peppy, but it's great!! Super accurate!
http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/2947/g2722612.jpg

Here is my namesake Glock...the 23! Still probably the best all around Glock made. Superb handgun! Have an OEM 357 Sig barrel for it too, but I don't shoot it much.
http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/8452/g23np382511.jpg

Quite possibly my favorite Glock....but that's tough. My G21sf, finished in Robar NP3. Have a KKM barrel for it too, but it shoots UNREAL....literal one hole targets.
http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/9350/g21sfrobar22612.jpg
http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/517/20111201165342.jpg

G22 RTF2. Super nice and I really like the RTF2 pattern, I think I like it better than the Gen4 pattern. I even like the "fish gills"
http://img576.imageshack.us/img576/7352/g223212a.jpg

Glock 35 is next. Robar NP3 finished and shown both with my Streamlight TLR1s and my 4 port compensated KKM barrel. Very, very good shooter!

It replaces the factory baseplate and there is no play and it is very solid.

d90king

Other than the fact that they look really cool, what is the advantage of these base plates over factory ones?

First it keeps you from having to hack up your frame in cutting a relief channel to be able to strip a mag out during a malfunction. This was one of the biggest issues with the OEM baseplates that sat flush to the frame and why you see all of the Glock frames cut with a relief channel.

They are also really easy to grab for reloads and the extra surface area makes seating the magazine very fluid and easy. They also help make the mags drop easier in our testing.

The T&E testers have been very pleased and it was a very select group that used them, many of which have orders in for 30-100 of them on their own dime.

Once you guys get to handle them I think you will see what a great product it is at a very reasonable price point.
