I'm considering selling my G19 and I value this forums input. I just want an accurate listing price for the gun. It's a G19 Gen 3 with all the original papers, box, etc. The gun was fitted with tritium fiber optic combo sights, extended slide release, extended take down lever, extended mag release, stainless guide rod, trigger job with polished trigger, LWD 3.5 connector, competition springs, and the entire gun was Robar'ed with their NP3 finish. The gun is immaculate and I also have the original parts for the items that were changed. What's a realistic asking price? I can supply pics but they are too big for the forum's file. Thanks in advance for you help!
Your G19 is probably worth next to nothing because of todays economy, but I'll give you $100 for it and take it off your hands.

I can't speak for other states, but here in Arizona,,,,it's about where you live "how far from me" 10-50 miles vs. 100 miles " gas prices" , also cost to ship plus FFL fee.
OK now I can only speak for thrends in phoenix.
Stock GLock 19 new....roughly $500
Used with night sights, $500 "one month old, or 1 year old"
We like the bling...a nice picture with 4 mags, holster, night sights, and original box $550
If it's has wear, with everything you're back to $500
As far as the original parts, most guys sell those seperate here.
19's are popular and go quick here, but to find a 3rd gen for $400 is very rare, as well as someone paying $600 for one..
Good luck with the sale

Not that I'm helping much, but I'll give you $250.00.
Anyhow, and to make this post useful, it has to be worth $400-475. Check Gun Broker to get a sampling.

All kidding aside, that quote is about right. You shouldn't have a problem selling it. 19's are VERY popular and with good reason.

Doing all that aftermarket work generally doesn't increase the value of the gun, but that being said, the gun is worth what someone else is willing to pay for it. IMO, I would put that sucker up on gunbroker, with a minimum price you want for it and no reserve, make the auction as long as you can and see what happens.

if you try to sell it here on glocktalk, realistically you'll be lucky to get more than $525 for it, even though you spent probably $500 on the gun, $200 on the np3, $100 or more on the TFO sights, and probably $100 or more on aftermarket parts. that money is gone forever
your best bet would be to put an ad in your local newspaper. you might get $600 for it, but it still won't be an easy sale
honestly, you have so much money invested in that gun, you might want to consider keeping it, unless it just isn't reliable. if it is unreliable, strip off all the internal aftermarket parts and put the stock parts back in there. reliability will most likely return

the sights and the extended parts would make we want to pay a little more, but the trigger work and ss guide rod would drop the price at least 50 bucks because that about what i would have to pay to make it stock again. $400 would be top for me. If you had to ship it to me, $20 ffl fee, $20 shipping, + gas to get to store, $360, and face to face $380. but then again i dont like the "bling" GLOCKs so i wouldnt buy it for a dime over $250

Just curious. Why are you thinking about selling it?
It's worth NOTHING. Not to anyone here or elsewhere what it is worth to you. (or will be worth to you once you sell it and it's too late.)
KEEP IT! If it runs like it has with me and others I know of, you'll regret selling in the long run.

I have an offer local of $550 but I didn't want to take too much of a beating so I wanted to see if it was worth more and based on your comments I probably should sell it. The only reason I'm considering selling it is I'm funding a G18 project. I need to purchase the host gun which will be a 17c and my department is looking to purchase the drop in selectors and folding stocks. My safe is full and my wife has a pretty good handle on the finances so I have to give something up to get it.

Wouldn't you love to have the chance to give these asshats a swift kick! lesson learned-Don't put money into a gun that your not going to keep. Your buyer's offer of $550 seems fair only if you consider what a NIB stock one would cost. Unlike some top name relovers from days past, glocks will never be considered family heirlooms. throw away guns on a good day.

The going rate on a used stock 3rd gen G19 with night sights in AZ is $450 on the private market.
The used to bring around $500 but with the grappy economy not anymore.
Good Luck on your sale.

Off the topic, but I think he has a rough idea what it's worth, so now to my question. What the heck is an "asshat"? I know I'm from the north and don't understand a lot of things, but was kind of curious.....:dunno:

Can't answer the asshat question but since the G19 is by far not my only Glock I'm not crying over getting rid of it because it's gonna be replaced by a G17c. The rest of the story is I got the gun at a large discount. I had a used HK USP .45 which by the way sucked *****. Worst trigger ever second only to the Sig Mosquito. Anyway, one of the guys at my PD HAD to have it because of course he bought into the HK name rather than the reality of the product. I got a NIB Beretta 92 and the NIB G19 on an EVEN trade for the HK. So all in all I did pretty well and I get a big discount on parts and Robar through the PD so it won't cost much to set up the G17c the same way. I'm working on getting my SOT so my G17c will eventually become a G18.
