I have a Winchester 1300 Defender that use for "tactical" competitions, ie not Skeet/Trap, but 3-Gun, Steel, etc. For the past 3 years, I've used it in competitions without problems, until a recent match. I had trouble knocking down "heavy" steel plates at far (20 yards) distances. I believe my problem is that the 1300 is "open cylinder".
So, I was wondering what to do.
Option 1, get a different shotgun for 3-Gun competitions. Don't really want to do this, as I'd rather save the $$$$s.
Option 2 - Somehow add a choke to the 1300. Is this possible? Hard to do? Costly?
Thoughts?
