I picked up a 'no-box' Smith 629-3 with an un-fluted cyl. and a 3" barrel at a show some weeks back and am wondering if it could be a Lou Horton. It's has the old style hammer w/firing pin attached and a S/N of CBL 4XXX. It's in excellent shape with very little flame cut, tight on lock-up and no corrosion or dings on the exterior. The bore is clean, bright and lead free. It does have Pach. grips. I wonder if it came with wood? It has an adjustable Smith rear sight with standard blade front. I seem to remember seeing some talk about a similar gun either here or at another site some time back. I'd appreciate info on the gun an/or a heads-up to a site or thread. Thanks.
