View Full Version : will glock refinish my slide? how much?
i bought a used glock 26 with some holster wear and im thinking of getting it refinished
has anyone here sent your slide into glock to get the refinished before? if so how much does it cost including shipping?
It's not that much from what I remember...$45 or $59 or something like that, and I belive that includes return shipping to you. I've thought about doing that with my G19 slide...it's been polished, where it's still dark, but shiny. I like it, but also wouldn't mind getting it refinished. Call Glock and they'll tell you.

Call Warranty Serevice Department at 1-770-432-1202 and ask. You can ship the slide pretty cheaply, but if you ship the entire pistol, Glock will clean, inspect and replace any worn parts. Aftermarket parts will be returned to you.

wow...that looks good! That would be great for getting an OD slide if you have an OD frame.

I shipped two slides into Glock a couple of years ago for a refinish.
The older "matte" finish slide came back looking pretty good. The newer "slick" slide came back...well... terrible. It looked like they had rubbed some cold blue on the wear marks that you could still clearly see. Within a week whatever they put on had come off and it looked just like it did before I sent it in.
Unless it's one for the older guns, I would not bother sending it to Glock. Seems better options are out there. YMMV
