I got oil on my lens because I accidentally sprayed the front of the laser with gun oil while cleaning the gun. Laser Max was awesome and gave me another one but remember to move the laser away from the gun when spraying gun oil because some might land on the lens and make it real blurry.
Other than that I love mine.!.

What? You mean the oil at at the lens? bc I don't see why that wouldn't wipe off, unless there was an abrasive cloth used to get the oil off. Explain?
Thanks,

Some how the Laser Lens was not sealed completely and when my gun oil got on it the oil seeped behind the lens and I couldn't get it out. So every time I turned on the laser the dot was the size of a half dollar. This didn't really matter because LaserMax has a guarantee and they replaced it for me but I would keep all oil away from the laser aperture just to be safe.
I take even more caution with this now that my guarantee is up.
also.
My Laser Max was for my Glock 32 (.357 Sig) The spring that came with the laser was so tight that the gun jammed for me for like 200 rounds so you might want to break it in before you use it for self defense. I am not talking bad about laser max I love them. Just make sure the gun doesn't need to be broken in. This was like 5 years ago so I am sure everything is perfected by now.

I was able to get out and shoot with it today, put about 100 rounds downrange and had no problems. I'm carrying my 27 right now anyhow, so other than being my nightstand gun (with Mr Mossberg close by,) it's not my primary defense weapon. Thanks for the heads up.

Im not familiar with these, excuse my ignorance, but how does the laser switch on/off?

It's really neat how they Invented the on and off switch. The slide take down lever Is replaced with one that is slightly longer on each end. Besides It being longer on each end it's also modified so you can push on the slide take down lever on either end and you will feel it click back and fourth which activates the laser. It's very fast to activate and doesn't interfere with the grip you have on the gun. I really like mine. like I said in a previous post, I bought mine like 5 years ago and the laser came with a ridiculously strong recoil spring that took hundreds and hundreds of rounds just to loosen up. But that was so long ago (over 5 years ago) that I am sure that the Laser Max company has worked out the kinks by now.
