I currently have an Epson CX8400, which is a 4 ink inkjet system. I bought in January for about $80 and it prints surprisingly GREAT pictures - good enough to hang on the wall and no one can tell that they weren't printed at a photo lab.
Since January, I have purchased a laptop and I want to be able to print from my laptop without having to carry it over to the desk where the printer sits and plug in the USB cable.
I wish Epson made a wireless printer, but so far, they don't. I have read that Epson prints the best quality prints. I also want to go to a 6 ink system, as I have read those print better.
So, I have found an HP D7460 for about $150 that has a 6 ink system and is wireless. However, I have read mixed reviews. Some people say it is great; others have complained that the photos are not quite good enough.
There are a number of Epson printers starting at $100 that have a 6 ink system, but none are wireless.
So, I'm not sure what to do. The wireless option is REALLY appealing to me. But I don't want to buy a printer that doesn't print well.
Any opinions out there with these printers or any other?
My camera is a Canon EOS 40D 10 megapixel.
Oh, and yes, I'm well aware of the REALLY GOOD photo quality printers, but I just spent $2000 on a camera and lenses. I can't afford to buy a printer that is more than $100 or $150. Thanks.
