Has anyone tried out any magazine extensions for the G38? Thinking of getting a 38, but would like to know if I would be able to up the capacity from 8-10. If anything, the 37 mags should work, right?:dunno:

Yes, the G37 Mags will work. Take a look at http://www.pearcegrip.com for extensions etc.

The extensions will allow you to up the capacity one round - from 8+1 to 9+1. As SGT45 said, the G37 mags will work, but they'll stick out a bit.
G38 = 8+1
G38 + factory #7151 base = 9+1, possibly 10+1
G38 + G37 magazine = 10+1
G38 + G37 magazine + factory #7151 base = 11+1
You can carry a G37 magazine + factory #7151 base as a 11 round spare
Now that's a lot of .45 caliber ammo.

I Carry my Glock 38 like this , and have tested it at the range without any issues.
Standard 38 mag, remove the bottom plastic follower that sits between the spring bottom and the mag bottom cap.
Once removed you can put in 9rounds and it's not overly tight that it will affect racking or feeding. Now you can carry 10rounds without any extensions.
Most 38 standard mags can hold 9 rounds as it is, but it just felt waay too tight for my comfort.
On the other hand my backup magazine has a +2 extension and it has 10rounds that I also tested at the range without issues.
10rounds of 45gap in a small gun is great IMO.

Thanks for the help. Going to try my first GAP .45, I have been using the 22 for 5 years so It's hard to go from 17+1 with my +2 mag to 8+1. 10 rounds of .45 is a lot of firepower though. Cant wait.
