My G39 is a keeper

I finally got to shoot my new G39 with AmeriGlo Lumanova sights, and I am quite pleased with the pistol. On Target 1, the 3-shot group at the top, 10 yards, is 7/8th's of an inch using my 200-gr reloads. The 2-shot group to the right is 3/4in. All slow fire, hand held. The lower right 5 shots is Cor-bon 230-gr Match Ammo, and the upper 5 shots in the black is Winchester 230-gr Rangers. Second target is 6-shots of Federal 230-gr LE ammo at 10 yards, rapid fire. Yes, I need new Bifocals, as everything appears fuzzy.

All in all I fired 50 rounds of Cor-bon, 50 rounds of Winchester, 50 rounds of Federal and 50 rounds of my reloads. All fed flawlessly, and the G39 is a real pleasure to shoot, only slightly more recoil than my trusty old G26.

Danny, how does the 39 compare to shooting the 38?

Isn't it awesome when the shots are so close together, they touch!!! I love when that happens. Puts one of these on my face each time!:supergrin:

Shooting comfort is about the same for a G38 and G39. I curl my pinkie under the G39.

I am glad to see more people enjoying the GAP. To my way of thinking, the compact(38) and sub compact(39) are the ideal size for the shorter-than-ACP round. In other words, they make the most sense to me if you are going that way.

I haven't had the pleasure of owning one of those yet (GAP) but I have two G30's and have been thinking about a trade for a 39.

I know what you mean about the eyesight thing, I finally had to get progressive lenses to shoot with. I had the blurry target thing going on also. Its bad to get old.
