I just came back from ordering my new G30SF.... For weeks I had been debating myself over getting the G30SF or the G36 for CC. On a previous thread there were several people referring to jams/problems on G36s (mainly older models) but since this is going to be my carry weapon, I thought more than 2 negative posts were just too many. I have never seen a negative post on the 30 or the 30sf... I really liked the 36 because of its width for all day carry but the 30sf covers all the important points for CCW and, as someone on a previous thread mentioned, 10 + 1 is never a bad thing.
I already own a G21SF so this decision will enable me to use the same ammo, mags and holsters. Does anyone recommend an IWB holster that would work for both? I was looking at the Comp-tac infidel and Ctac models. Any experiences with these?
Threads on GT have been extremely useful for me. Just wanted to thank you all for creating such an informative forum.
Will post pics of the new addition to the family as soon as I get it.

I carry a G36, used to carry a G19. The most comfortable IWB holster I found is the Professional Inside-the-Pants Holster, Size 12, Right Hand, Leather, Tan. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/34693-33.html
It's very comfortable and I wear it with shorts and tee. Normally on my right hip. But I have worn it in the small of my back too. I wear it with or without a belt. Retains my Glock very well, fast draw, reholstering isn't fast, but you shouldn't need speed reholstering. You just have to remove your Glock before you sit on a toilet. USCCA magazine has a good article on using the head when you're carrying. Serious article with some funny stories too. Give you another meaning of a spashdown...

Congrats the G30SF is the only gun I regret selling and today I went to the range with my 9mm's and rented a G21 and a G30 and loved them both. Fell in love with the .45 all over again. Gonna invest into reloading and then buy the .45's again. I carry my G19/G26 in a Blackhawk CQC Serpa OWB and an MTAC IWB. Love both holsters, have preferred the blackhawks lately. And I live in miami with the heat as well and the OWB with jeans and a polo or cargo shorts and a t-shirt is no problem. Have also been pocket carrying my G26 a lot lately in an Al's pocket holster. Looks like a wallet is in there.

I still want a G36 although I am a huge G30 fan. I went to the range today with my G30 and G21SF and I have found the G30 to be the most accurate Glock I have shot. I have owned many different Glocks and the G30 has always been the best when it comes to accuracy.
Congrats on your decision.
I too was trying to decide between a 30SF and a 36. In the end, capacity won out for me. However, I could not find a 30SF locally, and the 30 was available therefore I went with the 30. Only one range session so far, but I'm a happy camper.
