I've considered buying a new glock, (don't tell MNGlocker, I'll never hear the end of it) and am looking at the 36. Any of you had issues with this model? I'm looking for concealability and general range use.
Go with a G19, Good for CCW and range use. 9mm ammo is cheaper than .45ACP. If you insist on a .45 ACP get a G30.

Although there have been complaints about the 36. I have owned 2 that were manufactured well apart and I never experienced problems with them. Consider also that there is a camp of thought that new Glock shooters need to learn the trigger. If this is true for you and if money is an issue, it might be cheaper learning the trigger with in 9mm.

I have never regretted buying my 36. It is very concealable, reliable and accurate. The recoil is very smooth too. I think one of the most important things is how does it feel in your hand?
When it comes to pistols, whichever feels best to you and shoots best for you is right for you. What is best for your buddy may not be best for you. I suggest renting a few pistols before you decide. Ammo cost is becoming a major factor for many shooters.

I own several, I'm just looking for a more concealable .45...... the 1911 is sometimes a little bulky. I guess I'm more interested in reliability than anything else

My G36 runs flawless and is the only Glock that I CCW. Not that I wouldn't CCW any of my others, I just prefer the 36 for this purpose.
The 36 is no doubt a great gun, but I had a sour one. It was pretty new too. IMO, you can't go wrong with a 19 or a 23. They're almost as small as a 36, just a little thicker, and have 13 rounds of .40 or 15 of 9mm.
My experience has been with 3 Glock 36s..Two are mine and the third is a friends...All 3 functioned fine..My buddies is an early model. I had one a few years old and a new one..No jams with any of them.

I had a hard time carrying the compact size GLOCKS. In my opinion any sub-compact is the best choice for concealed carry. I have a G26 and can carry IWB or in ankle rig with no one knowing (unless your at grandmas, or a family reunion...hugs are tough when you CCW ing They are easy to hide, and less weight is always a plus.
I would agree with practically anything that DannyR says. So take his advice as well.
Very knowledgeable folks here on GT...weed out the few.
