I am a newbie who has just bought a Glock 19 just a couple days ago and I have been reading everyones advice on after market products. Some of you put on smooth triggers. What is a smooth trigger, advantage and how much do they cost? I also just purchased the Big Dots after lots of reading threads.

m3speedy all a smooth trigger is a trigger without the serrations on it. I'm not sure what the cost is but i'm guessing under twenty bucks for sure. A good investment is a book put out by ptooma productions the glock reference book . This book contains alot of pictures and info on the glock pistols. Has everything you need.
In order to import the smaller Glock pistols, the company had to add subtle changes to them; one was a "Target Trigger" or serrated trigger. The triggers on the Glock 17, G22, etc. are smooth and don't have the ridges that some complain causes blisters when firing lots of rounds down range.

No advantage, I prefer the serrated target trigger and have swapped them out on my G17 and 22. I just like the look and feel of the target trigger. If you want a smooth faced one, they are cheap enough, just buy this one.

Im gonna get that for my 19. I HATE the target trigger.
I like smooth triggers, but that's just me!

A smooth trigger will always surprise you when it breaks. that is a smooth trigger.
