Well I hate people who dump dogs, but if you must a police station is the best way.

Someone dumped this little beast and I figured she would go well with my big smelly shelter rescue.

Little one is now Skatha

She seems to be a great dog. Thier loss, they dumped her in a fenced area at one of our offices. I wish I knew how old she was so I could get a read on how big she is going to get.

About 6 weeks ago in a rural North Texas county my wife and I came across
a bedraggled, dirty, starving, fur-all-matted, full blooded Red Merle Australian Shepherd.
No collar, no tags, fleas and ticks galore. After checking with the authorities and the few neighbours around the area, we decided to keep her.
She’s now got a new name, a forever home and a very ardent admirer in our Boston Terrier.

It’s a real joy to see her confidence build day by day as she becomes comfortable with her new life .

I hate people who abandon Animals.

If there is one thing that ticks me off it is people who get animals because it is "cool" :steamed:and then decide that they can't handle them, and just throw them to the wayside. Having animals is like having children if you don't want the commitment "DON'T HAVE THEM!!!"

My dog is the lucky one out of her litter most of her siblings were taken by the aformentioned croud of people who want a cute pup but don't want the responsiblity after that pup gets older.

I've only bought one dog in my lifetime and she was a great dog but after that al I've ever had were dogs that were abused or abandoned. The dogs I've "rescued" have all been great pets and loyal companions.

I don't care what other people might say but I'm convinced that dogs are smarter than we know and when you take in a dog that's had a rough life, they actually do appreciate it.

You got an awesome dog. I have 2 Aussies. One Blue merle and one Red merle. They are very intelligent and great with kids.
