IIRC you need a permit, same form that must be filled out to buy a gun, to own a air rifle that makes over 30 ft-lbs of energy.

These airguns must be stored in the same accordance as rifles and sg's. In a state approved safe and passing state inspection.

Most airguns (air-rifles) in UK cost way more than Glocks and the majority are more than a midgrade or better hunting rifle with optics (2000 plus USD)

Sort of reminds me of a scene from an American cartoon called The Boondocks. Two little kids get into a bb gun war. Sure they trash their granddad's house, but they are fine.

Actually its not as funny as it sounds though - some high compression air rifles are just as good as .22s. Some even fire .22 pellets!

Plastic bags, large buckets filled with liquids, and swimming pools each kill, every year, many times the number of children killed annually by guns. Where is the clamoring to ban those things?

The reason the statistics on gun related deaths in "children" seem so high is because anti-gun groups consider the 16-20 year old gang bangers gunning one another down to be children.

England screwed up by banning firearms. They tried to raise the bar on firearm related crimes - criminals still didnt care. If a criminal decided to kill - they didnt care if they got life.
