View Full Version : Two-headed baby boy dies at home
A BABY boy born with two heads has died after his parents took him home because they could not afford his medical care.
The Bangladeshi boy, named Kiron, was born on Monday by caesarean section and died at home late yesterday after developing a fever and breathing difficulties, paediatrician KS Alam said.
Kiron had attracted such attention that 150,000 people gathered at the clinic where he was cared for after his birth in Keshobpur, 135km from the capital Dhaka.
Police were called in to control the crowds and Kiron was moved to a hospital in nearby Jessore city.

Kiron sleeps at a hospital in Jessore.
But his parents decided, against doctors' advice, to take him home, Dr Alam said.
"We wanted to refer him to a hospital in Dhaka but the family was so poor that they could not afford to take him there, so they took him home where he died," Dr Alam said.
"It was a very unusual case. The boy had one body but two complete heads."
He weighed 5.5kg at birth.

He could've survived. There are others.

I would like to go on record as feeling that the term "two headed boy" is inaccurate.
The brain is where all that makes us individuals resides. All our thoughts, dreams, and personalities originate in the head. A "two headed person" (sic) is really 2 people with one body. "Single bodied twins", if you will.
That is all.

Duly noted.
I wonder if the girls ever talked about getting a tattoo? If it was on the left arm do you think the girl on the right side would refuse to pay?

So who will be the first to say, "I'd hit it"?
So who will be the first to say, "I'd hit it"?
More tactfully, Mrs. Dual and I have watched the TV documentary and the follow-ups on that set of conjoined twins, and I wonder if they should meet a young man, just how that works out. :headscratch:
The parents did tip-toe around that issue a bit, and the answer was kind of a mix of both :dunno:, and "we'll deal with it as it comes."
I also wonder how the state would handle the marriage license, they have two birth certificates and social security numbers... is it bigamy? Could they legally have two husbands? Or what would they do for the mother's name on birth certificate if they had a child?
IIRC, they both have their own separate driver's license. And maybe I'm making it up, but I think they already got a moving violation. Imagine being that cop. Even though everyone in town knows who they are... I think whoever's turn it was to drive fessed up and accepted the ticket.
I'm not moved to make jokes. The only reason the baby died is because the family was to poor to provide for medical care. I think it's a pretty sad story all around.
So who will be the first to say, "I'd hit it"?
Is that what would be called a "three bagger?":dunno:
