The most glaring numbers from that report are that the bottom 40% of wage earners in this country paid negative 3.8% of the federal income tax...that is, they got money back that was never paid in. (ie, earned income tax credit)

Ding ding ding.
I'll admit, I've rarely had a year I -haven't- gotten everything back, but I've never gotten more than I've paid in. Having lived in the hood for so many years it was g-d disgusting seeing these ghettosluts leech off the system, then come tax-time, run to H&R Block to get dayz money.
What?? The rich pay taxes! :faint:
Hey, the top one percent of wage earners should pay more. After all, they can afford it. And the bottom fifty percent shouldn't have to pay any, since they cannot afford it. Seems simple enough to me. After all, I was educated in a public school.

More in a year than most of us will pay in our lifetimes.
It was funny when people were whining about the cost of the search for Steve Fawcett. The one estimate was in the six-figure range. What they couldn't comprehend was that was he paid more than that in taxes in a month. Probably even two weeks.

The government had to change the name of the rebates from Tax Refunds to Stimulus Checks because Bush caved on giving the people who paid no taxes to get their hands on someone else's money.
His original plan was for people who actually paid taxes to get money back, the dems went for his throat as usual..

I forgot my sarcasm smilies. I am no where near the top and I paid more last year than the average house hold income in my state.
Barron Hilton picked up a large amount of the cost for the Fawcett search. If I remember he had Blackwater come in for a couple weeks.
