The Eagles' Don Henley will play at a fund raiser for U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Rice at Cain's Ballroom on Sept. 5, Rice's campaign confirmed Friday.

Henley's concert will be one night before the group opens the new BOK Center in Downtown Tulsa.

Tickets to the event are $250, $500, $1,000 and $2,300 in the form of contributions to the Rice campaign.

They can be obtained from Rice's Oklahoma City campaign office at 405-606-2288 or at http://www.actblue.com/page/henleyforrice.

The event is a private party and not listed on Cain's web site.

Rice, a Democrat, is challenging long-time Republican incumbent Jim Inhofe.

Are there any performers with their head screwed on straight?

Henley has always been waayyyy to the left. Don't you remember that line from End of The Innocence, that refers to 'The Tired Old Man We Elected King'? He was talking about President Reagan. I have never understood way entertainers can't just entertain. Eric

I've never understood why people are still surprised that actors/singers/and such are usually lefties.

One of the funniest golf story I've ever heard was from one of my dad's friends that played in a charity tournament and got paired up with him. After playing the round, they had a conversation that went something like this:

Don Henley: So, do you want me to sign any autographs or anything like that?

Friend: I'm a bit embarrassed, but I don't actually know who you are.

Don Henley: Oh, well I was with the Eagles.

Friend: Really? You're kind of a small guy....what were you? The kicker or something? Nah, that's alright, I'm more of a Patriots fan, anyways.

The friend said that he was so mad that he just turned and walked away mid-conversation. The friend didn't find out until later who he actually was.

Inhofe needs challenging, not necessarily dumping.. but he's got some mighty nice pinky rings.

That boy ain't a bit scared of a profit, and it might be he'd tend to the peoples business a little better if he had fewer outside interests.

That's stipulating that a lot of the time he votes right, and isn't by far the worst ally to have, but he is one of the business as usual crowd and that ain't playing to a packed house these days.
