Hey Guys...just took my new G26 out to the range, and boy am I impressed. It ate everything I had: WWB 115 gr FMJ, 124 gr Federal Hydra Shock +P+, 124 gr Gold Dot +P+, 124 gr Federal BPLE +P. NEVER failed to feed, fire and eject. Kept all rounds center mass in a man-sized target at 15 yards. Not target grade, but I wasn't trying to shoot a bullseye match - I was testing reliability.
Anyway, I would probably not have bought a Glock without all you guys singing it's praises - and know I know why! It really is a great little pistol. Thanks for the encouragement!
Only negative thing I noticed was that it got slippery during a hot, muggy afternoon. We were perspiring heavily due to the summer sun and it got a little hard to hold. Any suggestions?
Get a pearce grip extension from Glockmeister. It helps hold onto the 26 and really does not make the gun that much bigger but gives you extra grip.

Awesome!! Glad you had a good afternoon!
As for the slippage, the decals posted about are gnarley, but i use a hogue grip sleeve. You'll hear that the sleeve slips after a few rounds, but in my experience it hasnt slipped once. Great addition, if you ask me.
I know of several competitors that carry a bag of rosin in their shooting bags.

Congrats on the purchase.
Side note- Please move this to the General Glocking section.

:wow: That sticky mess isnt getting anywhere NEAR my firearms. I can only imagine it working its way into the goings-on places deep in my guns. No.

My sweat alone has never made the grip slippery. Are you sure it didn't have a little gun oil mixed in there with it? If it did...try some dry lube such as Militec-1 If you follow the directions it leaves a dry lubricant which I prefer for a lot of reasons. Doesn't get on your cloths while carrying, and doesn't run and make your gun slippery while shooting.
If you just have slick sweat then I think those grip tapes are a great idea
Good choice...the G26 is a fine, reliable weapon.

grip tape is very thin, doesn't come off and imo very worth it:
