It sounds like you're referring to what is known as the Glock Light... If so, they're a good budget priced weapon light.

If you want to spend a little more, an LED-based weapon light is a good investment.

LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are virtually shock proof, they're 40% efficient, and have an operational life measured in thousands of hours. And today's LEDs are bright and easy on batteries!

Light bulbs are sensitive to heat, shock, and have an operational life measured in tens of hours. Plus, they're about 7% efficient, so they gobble up batteries. But they otherwise work well, and cost less up front!

My picks for bang-for-the-buck LED-based weapon lights are the TLR-1 and even better, the XTI Procyon. :thumbsup:

The best LED-based weapon lights, IMO, are SureFire's X200B and X300. But they're $100.00 more than the XTI Procyon! :faint:

I recently picked up an XTI Procyon, and it compares very favorably with my X200B!
