4th Glock and a little trouble

Greetings....new to the board.....

Bought my 4th Glock (others are a 17, 19, and 20--the 20 is a great Alaska gun) 2.5 weeks ago....a NIB 27....interesting that it was "test fired only 10 days before I purchased it. Talk about factory fresh.

Anyway I put 450 round through over two weekends and had 5 off center and light primer strikes with 3 types of ammo. Never have I ever had any trouble from my other 3, not one feed jam, light strike or anything ever so to say I was shocked with this situation is an understatement.

Called Glock, got someone on on the first ring....spoke to a tech...really professional, had me check some things during a detail strip, couldn't determine the trouble over the phone so he said send it in. It went out of Alaska on Monday.

I will be curious to see how they do on the service side of this and how long it takes.

Any guesses on turnaround time from those who have gone through this before?

Now that your excellent Gov is the nominee for VP, I would hope they would recognize Alaska is hot and jump into action for you!!!! :embarassed:

I suggest shooter fatigue may be a factor to consider.

Maybe they over lubed it at the factory, or oil got into the firing pin area somehow...I was told any oil in the firing pin area can lead to light strikes.

Thanks in advance....and glad I found this board.Going off of experience and word of mouth, i would say it will not take that long. However, given the severity of your particular situation (i.e. oc and light strikes) with what could be serious issues with a new firearm (probablynotthough :) ) I wouldnt rush them. Id let the tech have all teh time he needs to put it back to perfection.
