So uh, I couldn't help but notice these little itty-bitty 6 or 8 oz cans in the beer section and I have to wonder 'why?'
Football season just around the corner...
Normal cans are fine. Why 'fix' something that ain't broken? And I understand big cans. Beer is liquid bread, it's good for you. And sometimes, man needs too much of a good thing. But small cans? Surely you jest.
Are we letting toddlers drink now or what?
Smaller cans can fit into the tiny places left open after you fill the fridge with one pounders.

Slow beer drinkers (Democrats) like smaller cans as they can finish them before they grow warm.
Beer doesn't come in cans. Beer comes from Belgium, in bottles or kegs.
Perhaps it's so swill drinkers don't hurt themselves when they crush the cans on their foreheads?

Small cans are anathema! Communista!

Nah....you got it wrong.
It's for Conservatives that think beer sucks. You see, we don't want to be impolite when we go to our heathen friend's houses and turn down a drink with them, so they buy that small stuff for us so we don't have to suffer through the beer.
Let's all man up and drink liquor, eh?

It's for the beach on 95 degree days. You cannot set the beer down on those days. Sure the little can seems silly on the first one or two...but after that you will be apreciative of not having to drink warm swill.

it's for bars to sell during happy hour for 50 cents and people will be thinking they're getting a deal...
eta; It's so when you get stopped for rolling through a stop sign you can tell the cop, "I only had 12 beers in last 4 hours"

No glass on the beach.
A couple beers on the beach are very nice.
Most drinkable beers come in bottles.
It is a conundrum..

Beer chasers.
Order a bloddy mary here in WI and you're getting one whether you wanted it or not.

Do they cost the same as the 12oz'ers? You know like Bryer's is doing with their icecream, same price but you get less sortta thing?
Oh and like others have said beer only comes in bottles....

Been there done that, it's no excuse to drink canned beer.
Make some room in the cooler (or bring a spare), throw some insulated cups in the cooler. Pour bottled beer into insulated cup before hitting the sand.

It's so college students can go "Duuuuuuuude, I was so wasted last night, I drank a whole 24 pack!"

Easier to pound in the car
They make little bottles, too.
They're for girls, dude.
In fact, the absolute hottest girl I've ever known in my life only drank pony bottles of Coors Light. Regular 12 oz bottles got warm before she finished them.
Buying them for her when I knew we were going to be hanging out was 100 times more embarrassing than buying tampons or something, but then... she was the kind of girl I liked to keep happy. If she wanted to drink crappy beer in little bottles, I wasn't gonna say "no".

I drink a few different beers out of cans almost exclusively.
Guinness out of a pint can is as close to a bartender-pulled draught as you're gonna get, and worlds better than bottles.
Boddington's Pub Ale only comes in cans (that I've been able to find).
Murphy's Irish Stout works on the same principle as Guinness.
And I only drink PBR out of the tallboy cans, cause I have to stick to my roots sometimes.

And once you fill that addition to your fridge, there will still be small spaces between the normal size cans.
It's probably for when you want a drink in the morning before heading to work.

Probably don't remember when the 12oz Coke was the large one either. Or when the headlight dimmer was on the floorboard.

I don't worry about it, honestly. I always have the keg handy with a nice trashcan filled with ice.

My fault, I should have stated that any can with a widget doesn't count.
