View Full Version : Upstate SC armorer/smith to install sights?

I'm looking for either a smith or preferably am armorer in the upstate area. I would like to get some new sights and need someone to install them for me. I think I may also get a smooth trigger for my 19 also. I plan on going to the show in Greenville on Sept. 20th. I know there was an armorer (Glock Doc or something similar) there two years ago. Other than that, does anyone know of someone else. I live in the Greenwood area. Also do you guys have an estimate as to what someone would charge for these services. I may try and do the trigger myself, but would prefer to have someone do the sights. Especially if they're night sights. Thanks.

There used to be a shop in spartanburg Public Safety Equipment. They arnt there anymore but he would have been the guy.
Wahtever you do dont use Dunbar and zimmerelli. you might as well buy a new pistol with the sights on it when they get doone with you.
Id try the greenville show first or just order the sights online and put them on yourself. im sure a few here could talk you thru it.

I purchased my G30SF from Traders Gun Shop. I'm pretty sure that one of there staff is a Glock Armorer. When I got the G30SF it was the first one that they had sold and he had a great time checking it out. Their contact info is:
Trader's Gun Shop
2850 Wade Hampton Blvd
Taylors, SC 29687-2712
Phone: (864) 292-5644

Give them a call. They have been around for a long time. Good reputation, to my knowledge.

Bob at Upstate Armory is can look up more info on him at

You can install your trigger yourself in less than 5 minutes.....and sights are no tough challenge either on Glocks if you have a Polymer Punch and a small socket for the Front Sight. Bass Pro Shops carried the front sight tools at one time for $8.
