On August 22nd, I put my first AR-15 on layaway, and it feels like I've been waiting an eternity for it. I pick it up on Friday, and I've managed to go this long without selling one or two of my guns just so I can get the AR. I think I can hang on for a few more days:faint:. If anyone wants to post pics of their AR rifles for me to drool over, feel free to do so! I've never been this excited about getting a new gun. This will be my most expensive firearm purchase so far!

Am I reading things right, a state that is as outdoors oriented as Alaska has a waiting period? Strange. Would think they'd be pass the Fed check, pay and walk out. Don

Yes layaway is right, there is only the 15 minute waiting period like most other states. The rifle I chose is the Smith & Wesson M&P15 carbine. It seems to me everyone has DPMS, Bushmaster, Colt, and Rock River Arms. I wanted to go with something different.
