Sorry for those of you who have read this over at the S&W forum. But many of you guys helped fuel this addiction and I just wanted to share. I got an unfired 1968 (?) M10-5, in the box, all the papers, tool and the original price tag for $76.50. The box smells amazing. Smells like an old book from the library when I was a kid. What a hoot this stuff is. Down side is I have two of the exact same gun but I guess one is for shooting and the other is for drooling. Pics to come when the sun comes back out over here:wavey:
AWESOME, i cant wait for the pics!:wavey:

Congrats. Lets see the pictures?

Make sure you don't drool on the gun. :tongueout:

I'd like to take some small bit of credit for feeding his newfound wheelgun addiction.

How the hell did you buy that gun for only $76? You have some sort of black files on George W. Bush or what?

If I could get em for $76, I would have gotten a whole bunch!

Congrats on a very nice find. I have a serious weakness for old S&Ws. From the pictures, it looks like this gun has been fired. In my opinion, that would be good since I"d be more inclined to take it to the range.
Beautiful pistol, mi amigo. :notworthy:
Gotta love blued steel and walnut.
Everybody's gettin' new, great revolvers except me. :crying:
<--- has eye on a 98% 29-2. Waiting for the feller that owns it to realize it isn't made of gold

Nice!
My Dad was a Policeman, and I am pretty sure that's the same model that he carried.
He let my brother and I shoot it a few times when we were kids.

I guess if owning stuff you can't use trips your trigger, you've done well.

I hear ya. If it was mine, I'd shoot it. I'd carry it. Oh I'd shoot it. A lot.

I bought a 19 like that. Never fired, all the tools still sealed in plastic, etc. It didnt even make it home before it got fired.
Congrats on your gun. I would definitely shoot it...:)

I don't have to fire it.... I have TWO of them exactly the same. I am thinking of carrying the other one but I think I would prefer to find a snub nose older model 10, 15 or 19.
