I own a G32 and it took me a while to get used to it,Im a magnum DIEHARD,but Ive realized what an awesome firearm Glock is and I truly appreciate owning one,but you guys dont really get into the difference of the caliber,or how superior it is to other calibers.I pay alot for my shells but its worth it!!I want to hear what this caliber is all about. Why are we different from others.

We are mellow...

Also, most of us own a lot of guns and calibers...
Which to pick today...;g

So...today it is .357 and 10mm.

The thing with the 357 SIG is ya either love it or hate it and there is little anyone can do to change the minds of either camp.

I too am a magnum fan. Carried an SP101 for years as my primary SD handgun and it was rarely loaded with 38's. The 357 SIG offered me the same (sometimes better) balistics with 2x the firepower. I carry my G31 daily and find it almost as concealable as my SP101.

IMO, few, if any, handguns can beat a G32 (will have one soon) for SD.

As for the SIG round being better than the 9's, 40's, 10's, 45's, well, that is subjective at best. I would trust my life to any legit SD round. BUT the 357 gives me a bit more confidince (real or imagined) that helps me believe I can end hostilities quickly.

You have your G32, you like to shoot it, learn to shoot it well and NEVER let anyone convince you you are undergunned.

You should regularly check the Caliber forum. That's where all heck breaks loose. You might try a search on the caliber you're interested in ;)

Thanks for giving me a holler back, dont get me wrong Ive realized what an efficiant and reliable firearm Glock is. Im still not used to it.As far as Rugers are concerned the only Ruger I would own is a Redhawk.Only because you can touch off about any load you want. Ive come to rely on my pistol alot and I wouldnt own any other semi-auto,including my colt .45 As far as the .357Sig, when I found out Glock made it I wanted it.I didnt mean to piss people off,but lets talk about this caliber. What can you do with you Glock.I dont shoot at ranges, mostly sandpits and timberlands.Ive got acouple acres but my wife dont like the BOOMS.

I like the mighty 357 SIG because the .40 Short & Weak is nothing more than a 10mm with it's nuts cut off, the 9mm only causes flesh wounds and the .45 has the trajectory of a mortar.

The 10mm is another cool round that has the official Quail Fat stamp of approval.

You 357 Sig people got that problem too? I never heard that one. We in the 10mm world have been dealing with that for the last 12 years.

Qualfat, I like your rating system. I hated my g22 until I had Barsto make me a 357 sig barrel for it, and now I absolutly love it. I do spend most of my time bragging up the 10. The 357 Sig may be a tack driver, but the 10mm is still cooking at 100 yds.

I agree with Quail Fat. My wife is a Glock Armorer & built me a tricked out G-33 for my b-day.I find it really interesting to reload this caliber because of the wide variety of bullets this caliber will shoot. When chronographed it shows very consistant performance and is flat shooting & hard hitting. With Sierra's loads for a 90 grain bullet you can almost get that bullet to light speed.......and in a comped gun with a recoil reduction unit & 3.5 connector it can be shot like it's almost full auto. Redrum has shot this G-33, check out some of his posts on the subject. So we're boring........at hypersonic speed. And I just love the BIG 10MM. Now there's a caliber only for manly men. 357SIG shooter may be a lot of things, but boring we are not.......Like the 10MM guys, WE ARE LOUD AN PROUD;2

I bought a couple 40 s&w guns and was not really impressed , although they are defense worthy. I think the 9mm is an ok baseline suitable for defense work.. but I prefer more power. I like the big hole from the 45 acp and I like the balistics ofthe 357 sig. Emulating a good 357 revolver and offering 15+1 capacity and fast reloads I can't imagine a much better design. I want to try some 10 mm action some day, but I feel the four weapons I own in 357 sig serve me well . Great design, I wish it was a bit more popular .
