My Birthday rented a MP5

I just had to do it!! 50 dollars 50 rounds it went fast, but WOW!!! What a trill. I excpected it to raise up but it didn't. So smooth a dream to shoot.

Our local range rents one. They are fun, but can eat the ammo very quickly.

That's cool man. I did the exact same thing on my birthday in march. I went out to the Firing Range in Athens, GA and rented an MP5, Usi, Thompson, M16 and MG-72. They were a blast, with the MG-72 being the grand finale. The rest of the full autos weren't too bad price wise, but the MG-72 was steep with a 50 rnd belt of ammo costing just under $50 and going by in about 12 seconds, bursting it.

Congrats though. It's a lot of fun and I'd like to do it again on my next birthday.
