I WILL be purchasing a new 26 in the next couple of weeks or so, but wanted to know what price is reasonable. I bought one about 6 years ago, and sold it about 4 months ago:crying:. Yes, i am well aware this was a mistake and i am going to fix it asap, but I don't remember paying 579 for it. Is this a fair price in the Nashville area or not? i really don't wanna hear about online ffl transfers and all that bull:yawn:......I want another 26 and want it now, and honestly would be willing to pay about 700 for it at this point between the upcomming election and that empty spot in my heart (and on my side). Just as a point of reference, what should I be able to negotiate with the local shops for a NIB 26 in my area? Thanks in advance

Guns and Leather in Greenbrier, TN. Google them. All you will ever need.\
Edit: and no, 579 is way too high. Of course, I get the LE discount so I'm not sure exactly how much civilian 26's are going for, but I'd say you should be able to get out the door for NO MORE than $540 and even that is a lil on the high side.

Ok, but how much after shipping, dealer fees/ffl transfer, and how long did it take? I don't want to deal with a dealer charging me fees and getting crappy with me because I didn't just buy it from him. Just my opinion, but it seems like after all the extra fees and hassle, an extra 50 bucks is worth not going through the headache and I can walk out the door with one that day. Am I wrong in these assumptions?:dunno:

Around $500 is average I would say. Give or take $20 + -
If you are going to pick up a gun at a store that sells new GLOCK pistols....then get a quoted price in writing if possible...take it to the dealer and ask him/her to match it. There...you have done your duty to let the dealer make the profit...if they don't want to deal then you can ask them about the transfer stuff. usually a fair dealer will charge you $25. Heck all they do is sign a UPS delivery form and take delivery of the gun, sign a piece of paper for ATF after you fill it out, and make a 1 minute phone call...and take your money. The whole process takes maybe 10 minutes! I'd work 10 minutes for $25!!! Then you'll have to pay your taxes...so
Gun $500-$525
Transfer fee $25
Taxes $35
total $560-$585

Best deal in these parts is $540. I sold my G26 to buy something else (stupid, stupid, stupid) and within a week I traded the something else plus other stuff and got me another one. Selling it is high on the list of dumb things I've done.

You're very welcome. I was pretty sure you didn't know about them because anyone who lives within 50 miles of them KNOWS who they are. The customer service in there cannot be beat and if they don't have what you are looking for, no matter what that may be, they'll be more than happy to get it for you in the next day or two. The prices are darn right fair as well (but you might want to stop off at wal mart for ammo though... its a little pricy.) It's a little drive for me, but its the only gun store I will go to.
Let us know what happens!

Spazhand: got my G26 three weeks ago for $429.95 at the LE price. A second gunshop had the same weapon at $449.00 and a third for $499.95 (standard prices). Hope this helps.
499.00 with std sights at Sportsman's Warehouse (before tax)
I love the 26...I am a big guy and I use it as a pocket pistol when I am not packing a 17 or a 19

My FFl dealer charges $20 for the transfer fee which is quite reasonable. It took 4 days for my new Glock to arrive here in Hawaii from the mainland via priority mail. As I mentioned in my post, the total shipped price for my Glock 26 was $490 ($485 pistol price plus $5 USPS priority mail shipping). So the final total price I paid with the transfer fee was $510.
For me in Hawaii, I don't have any gun store that stocks Glock pistols. So I have to find the best price I can on the Internet. The FFL dealer I use charges a reasonable fee and I'm happy with that. He is easy going and I enjoy dealing with him.

I'd be wary of dealing with that outfit. I've heard a few issues with them. Good luck if you do.

I just sold my 2 month old with about 300 rds fired through it this past Saturday for $400.00 with 5 mags (2 +3 I purchased). I put it on consignment at the gunshop where they were selling new for $499. This gun was brand new and I met the buyer so he felt good about buying it.

Good for you.
When it comes to NIB Glocks, the standards are:
$500 for the small frame (9x19/.40 and the like) and $550 for the larger frame (10mm, .45ACP).

Of course, I get the LE discount so I'm not sure exactly how much civilian 26's are going for, but I'd say you should be able to get out the door for NO MORE than $540 and even that is a lil on the high side.
LEs are civilians.

I paid 398.20 for mine but Im still waiting for it going on 14 weeks now. :crying:
LEs are civilians.
That is open to debate and interpreation, and both sides have valid points.
I prefer to use the term "private citizen" to represent a non leo civilian, that way everybody knows exactly whom I am referring to. ;)
