Hello
I know I'm on glock talk but this is maybe one of the besrt ways to get an unbiased opinion. What does anyone who has a Sig Sauer weapon think of them? I was looking at the P220 carry sas with the custom shop handles chambered in 45acp. If you don't for sure which one that is go to www.sigsauer.com and look for the P220 carrySAS.
Thanks
I know I'm on glock talk

This should be in Non Glock talk. But I have a standard P220R and it's a fantastic pistol. Accurate out of the box. There was a issue with the carry's regarding some FTE's I believe due to some faulty extractors, but there are many guys on Sigforum who swear by them. Overall Sigs are great guns. I definitely recommend them.

Non-Glock talk, but Sigs seem to be very reliable, quality handguns.

Sig P220
I carried one on the job for 10 years.
Put thousands of rounds through it and never failed me.
I trusted my life with one and highly recommend it, unless of course you want a Glock and I also highly recommend them.

I like the Sig product line very much, in fact I used to have a P-220, great gun. If I did not carry a Glock it would be a Sig. I have a 229 and might buy a 226 someday soon. I think the pistol is an excellent one and it will serve you well.

Frankly the six round capacity is a mild turnoff to me, however I do not think I would feel poorly armed if it were my carry piece. If that is what you want, get it.

Just curious, why not a 25/27 or 30? All have better capacity and are about the same size, for concealment purposes.

I own a full size P220R nitron finish and a P220 Carry two tone. Both were bought brand new within the last year. I enjoy them as much as I do my Glock 19 and 26. Sig Sauer pistols are accurate and durable. Some owners of new Sig Sauer pistols are having some issues with FTF and FTE the last round. I've read about these issues on SigForum.com. I've been fortunate that I've not experience any problems with both my Sig Sauer pistols. I prefer the SA/DA trigger over the DAK trigger on the P220 Carry SAS pistol you are interested in. Recently, I've sent my P220 Carry in to SigArms to get the SRT and AEP trigger enhancements done. It is now much more smoother and lighter in the trigger pull department now.

BTW, if you want more than 7 or 8 rounds, there is an optional 10 round magazine for the P220 pistol line.

Alliance;

I love both shelves of Sigs in my safe each and every one. My normal EDC is one of my Ultra trusty P245's The 220 Carry SAS is a great place to start. Take it out and shoot the hell out of it. You'll love it. But you have to promise us that then you will go out and by a Glock Model 30 and a Model 21 SF to go with it. We have to keep up our standards here ya know. lol

Best of Luck

Let me confuse you further. Sig Sauer will be releasing the P250 in .45acp at some point. It is only available in the compact 9 mode now but you can see more info under the P250 on their site by downloading the pdf. I will be owning one when they release it in .40 or .45. I have owned a 226 and a couple 230's. They ate everything and were more accurate than anything on the market at the time. I will say Glock has been as accurate and reliable for me but lighter and slimmer.
