I think it is cool , what do you think ?
Too busy. Less flames is better. But then it would look like Clint Smith's XD or his bolt gun.
The horror, the horror!!!!
not so much for me...MAYBE if it was just the slide
I really like flames, but I think that's overboard. IMHO!
If you like it that's all that matters.
It certainly is different. The artistry looks good, but it's not my style. If you want a flamed out 22, more power to you.

A+ for the craftmenship, but the flames are not my thing. It really doesn't look like flames to me, I was looking for the yellow usually associated with flames.
Was this the look you were going for?
Or is this like a haircut gone wrong, which in my situations end up being free.

Either that or maybe no color. I think greyscale would look good, but definetly just the slide.

Yet I have seen pics of a Glock 26 or 27 with the digital camo all over and I thought it sharp looking. The flames however, :crying:

:dunno:
Wrong color for a black background. At least IMO.

It worked for Henry Ford...
Seems to have worked pretty well for Glock as well...
I think it is cool , what do you think ?

Nice job. Showed the picture to the wife. She just said "no, you can't do that to yours." Of course I could if I wanted to. If I did I would probably go with carbon fiber, some kind of camo or maybe snake skin.

I have the the nake skin also and the carbon fiber.
I have a feeling that the owner of this Glock saw the movie Bachelor Party and thought the Porsche with flames looked sooo cool.

I think engraved flames on the barrel look better. Nothing beats a NY Yankee 10mm Glock.

Gulp.
Turn in your man card.
Was this image photoshopped or was this fine gun desecrated? Also, I would have to agree with the majority of people on this one, you simply can't beat black. After all, it's supposed to be a weapon, not some gaudy piece of "art" but what the hell would i know...
Sorry, but those flames are u-g-l-y ugly

maybe not for everyone but that job took some talent.
If you like it that's all that matters. Do you do this for a living? Sounds like you can do most camos/patterns that are out there. Is it airbrushed with stencils or the dip film process that I've seen on bird guns?
Whats the frame done in? paint or duracoat/molycote?

That's cool! I don't know if I would do it to my gun but it looks cool!

I could see this on a pimped out race gun w/red dot-but not a carry piece...

TOO much for me, but it's not my gun. As long as you like it that's what counts.

I do indeed like it but think that less would be more. Remember, the beauty of the Glock lies in its simplicity.

Now, that's a great example where less is more! Subtlety is superb.
It is not really MY thing and it looks "busy" but, at least you are practicing your craft and learning. I would like to see a picture of your carbon fiber and your ACU finishes though.

Ditto
Its different. :whistling:
Well it does not have "Pignose" but it does have a large gap between the frame and slide !!! :tongueout:

Everybody is different, that is for sure. The flamed out glock just looks to busy for me. I'm more of a camo guy myself, but the OD and the standard black is still the best.:puking::ack:
Not to dump more cold water on the discussion but this especially might cause you problems if it is your main personal or home defense gun. One of the guys that I teach handgun classes with who is an ex cop and and the legal expert of the team on carry says be careful the impression your gun could give a prosecuter. The example he gives is the "Grim Reaper" handgrips that will go on the 1911, but he also mentiones using non standard loads, trigger modifications and anything else that would show premedication or a lack of defensive mindset. There are all things he has seem in court situations.
On the other hand if this is just a range and play gun, and it makes you happy, go for it. I like basic black over even stainless but then thats me.

Seak2u...this is not meant as a direct comment to you personally but to the general statement about prosecuters alway coming up in mod threads...IMO if the shooting is justified, its justified period! I'm not worried about a stinking prosecutor trying to hang me because of a flame job,or a skull grip, etc. If you have made a shooting in defense of yourself or your family than you nothing to worry about!

AND I agree to a point, but anything that can keep them from having bad stuff to use is a good thing. I carry 24/7 unless in the shower or a no gun area, and I would defend my family and I do have modded guns, just don't want to provide any more help to the other side than needed and we both know even if we are right it does not always turn out that way (words from a defense atty friend of mine as well as my own research).
That's all.
