BTT, cuz I'm interested. I've considered the "Dwight Schuh" pack from (I think) Cabela's. Looks like a decent ext. frame for carrying meat, and breaks down to use the top portion as a daypack, and the bottom for a waist pack. Any experienced hiker/hunters want to weigh in?
1)What are you going to carry in it?
2)How much do you want to spend?
3)Does it have to be camo? Or will black/olive work?
Answer these and I'll see if I can offer further guidance.
Check out www.kifaru.net ; some very sensible, purpose-built packs, rifles and bush gear.

Check out Lightfighter.com or tacticaltailor.com. Outstanding equipment with a great warranty.
Kifaru packs are excellent. I have the Longhunter, and used it to carry a 150 pound mule deer several miles out of the mountains in Colorado last year. I am very impressed with the comfort and load bearing ability of this pack. Customer service is great, they stand behind their product.

I got a pack Wednesday. North Face pack is real nice, 5400c/inches. I picked it up for half price, can't beat that. Time to hit the timber.
