I have a G27 with two 9 round mags. I would like to purchase two more mags very soon; but I am not sure what type mags to buy for the G27? Should I stay with my 9 round mags or will a mag with more capacity be the wrong thing to do. I see some have mentioned a +2. If this is where I should go then where would be the best location and price. Will it affect my concealed carry?

The type of mag you buy is dependant on where you are going to carry it. If you want more cartridges in the mag and have a place where length of mag is not important, you can use G-22 (15 round hi capacity) or G-23 (13 round hi capacity) mags in your G-27 just fine. That said, I put +1 extenders on my G-27 mag not so much for the extra capacity, but to give my pinky a place to rest.

For my 27 I went with the G22 mags and added the sleeves - just makes them feel & look better when they are in the 27. You can carry your normal mag inserted - then if the need arises - you can have a couple of 15 rounders. You can find them at a fair number of places - I used TopGlock - but there are several.

If you want an extra capacity option, sure, just buy a G23 or G22 mag, keeping in mind that concealability will be compromised.

I have a couple of 9 rounders with the factory +2 adapters on them. I got a good deal on them from GT member sgtb (check The Want Ads > Gun Parts & Accessories).

This page (http://www.glockworld.com/magextension.htm)does a good job of illustrating the various extensions available.

You could get some 9 rnd G27 mags and some with Glock +2 extensions for 11 rounds. You could also get a G-23 mag and a G-22 mag to carry as back up mags or to carry in the gun depending on concealment needs and dress.

Not if the 22 or 23 mags are used only for backup or range work. Which is what I do. Carry the stock mag in the gun and a couple of 22 mags as spares. If you run through the 9 rounder in the gun - just pop in the spares and you're ready for action. I don't think anyone is suggesting one carries with the hi cap mags inserted - if that were the case - get a G22.

I'd want more than two 9 round mags. If you carry that way you will want to practice with them, and two isn't enough.

I equip my 9 round mags with GAP Finger Rest Exention.

I generally carry a 13 round G23 mag as a spare, and have never had any problem shooting that way. I don't care for the A&G sleeves.
