glock / lasermax noob question

I got my G36 a couple weeks ago, with a lasermax already installed. the previous owner also put the original parts in the case.

if i wanted to use the original recoil spring, for example, at the range... can i just put it in, or do i need to put the original slide stop and other stuff back in too?

You can just drop the Glock recoil spring assembly in. No need to replace the Lasermax slide stop or slide stop spring.
