Probably my all time favorite 'western'.

I remember when Tom Selleck was doing the talk show circuit, promoting the movie, he had the actual rifle with him.

I remember him opening the action, and checking the chamber, before handing the rifle to the host (can't remember who the host was....) and he made the brief comment, something to this effect: "I always practice gun safety....."

Sort of like he had to explain what he was doing.

Tom Selleck is on one of my favorite 'contemporary' actors. I can't remember a movie he was in I didn't like.

"High Road to China" was another really good movie he starred in. I've always liked the John Barry soundtrack, too.

But, my cable company took AMC off my cable plan. Bastages.:crying:

I have two Shilohs & I can assure you shootin' one ain't quite like Tom does it. :whistling: By the way, some guy calculated the distance to the bucket to be a little under 700 yds. by the speed of a galloping horse and accounting two extra seconds to start & stop. :upeyes:
