View Full Version : Anyone here just have all Glock?
I have a few semi-auto pistols that I don’t carry nor do I really ever shoot. I have been thinking about selling the ones I don’t shoot and just switching to all Glock. With all the parts and accessories available, I wont really miss the ones I sell or trade.
There are many fine pistols out there, but I think I want to go all Glock.

i wouldnt do that.....i like Glock and all, but they are "boring" (in a good way).....
i used to own JUST Glocks but got tired of the same gun in different calibers.....to me guns, as in life "variety is the spice of life"........
i like Sigs, XD's and Berettas as good as Glock, and its fun shooting different make of weapons....
all IMO,,,,of course :)

I have quite a few pistols. I like revolvers and that sweet 1911 too. My two favorite guns? The ones I shoot all the time? My G17 and G27. Nothing says beauty like perfect function.
i have all glock,(20,17,26)..but im thinking of picking up some type of 1911 or maybe a ruger P-series of some sort, de-cock only...and probably a sp101...
i currently have 9 auto pistols in the house: 8 glock and 1 kel-tec p3at. if you want to go all glock and you are used to traditional D.A. and S.A. autos, get a glock and shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. some will say the transition could be a problem, but get your glocks and shoot'em!!! once you go glock you never go bock.

17, 19 and 26.
I bought the 26 for conceal carry and liked it so much (accurate, rugged, dependable, easy to field strip/clean etc) that I bought the 19 then 17. Its not a gun that I would frame and hang on the wall but I got them for self/home defense. I'd like a shiny 1911, a revolver or two but then I'd be headed toward $$ hobby instead of practical defense. Also all 3 handle/shoot/fell pretty much the same and the mags are interchangable.
Makes sense to stick with the same manufacturer and caliber to me.

All Glock,...being disabled I haven't been able to try some others, am I missing out, maybe so....... Nah,
No can do. So far, only my 19c has totally taken my breath away. I've had a 34, a 38, a 21c and they we're good, but not totally satisfactory like the 19c.

Variety is the spice of life. I don't understand not owning Glocks, SIG's, H&K's, AND 1911's. Also assorted revolvers.
All Glock here too!

All the revolvers are staying, might just buy the few extra Glocks I want and keep the rest.
All Glock here
I have owned others and at one time would never have considered Glock.
All the others were sold and then missed soon after.
I didn't have any for some time and then when my state finally overrode queen b!&%$ sebellius, (intentionally lower cased) on CCW I did extensive homework and Glock for my hard earned cash is the most practical all the way around. I started with the 26 then the 19. My next ones will likely be 27 and 23. I won't look back. I don't miss the others and can hardly remember what they were.
Though there are some beautiful works out there in handguns, the illness has a firm hold.

All Glock here too.
I own damn near all of em :tbo:

Have one handgun: Glock 21. Almost 10,000 rounds through it.
Glock makes sense. Less machinery to get the job done than many other guns.
Not planning on buying any more handguns, will buy more .45 ammo instead.

Variety is for collectors and recreational shooters. At this time, I own only Glocks and will rest my life only upon Glocks. Sometimes, I get the small urge to buy a Sig or Springfield Loaded 1911 for the sake of having a different shooting experience, but then always get a bigger urge to buy a Glock in a caliber that I don't already have.

You have 23 hands? :tongueout::upeyes:

All Glock for me. I would like a good Springfield 1911 someday. Don't tell anyone though!

Does almost count???
I have one 1911. Everything else is Glock for SD carry.
Right now I am babysitting a 21SF while it's daddy visits home in a no gun city. Usually carry Sig 220 SA Bi-tone.
Also love my Dan Wesson PM7!:whistling:

All GLOCK... all the time!
I'm getting there!! I currently own;
G17
G19x2
G20
G21sf
G23
G26
G30
G35
I'm hoping to pick up a G30sf and G34 as a Christmas gift to myself!!
For the past two years...ALL GLOCK!
This is depressing.
I started out that way with a 19 and 26 with plans to get a 30. I still believe that Glock makes arguably the best pistol for everyday carry with boring dependability/reliability and low maint. But looking at one Glock is like looking at them all.

All Glock here for now. Just two guns:
G21sf
G30sf
and I feel I made the best choice in the world for my first two guns.
All Glock...a single 27. Probably doesn't count, but that's what I got :)
I couldn't see just having one brand of pistol..GUYS,,YOU HAVE TO SHARE THE LOVE..I'm a huge cool aid drinker and consider Glock the best hands down but,,,,,,Sig,H&K,Beretta,Kimber,S&W,Ruger and even Kel-Tek deserve some lovin too....Well,,just a little for Kel-Tek:supergrin:
I bought my first Glock about five months ago; it was the G23. About a month later I bought the G26. I bought a G30 three days ago but havent had a chance to shoot it.
So for now it's three guns, all Glock. I would like to add a nice 1911 to my collection some day.

I own Glock exclusively. I have more than a handful. My philosophy is that if the handgun is a self-defense weapon, it only makes sense to train on one system and master it. When the need arises to conduct social work, you will never exceed your highest level of training and having to take the split second to remember which gun is on your hip can cost you your life. Glock is one of those few things in life where your choice is definitive - it is hands down to superior to all guns in a handgun fight. The only mods I make are an extended slide release and Meprolights.

I only have one a g30.I like the other guns I just can't afford them.
I would love to have a sig or a HK.No kel-tek tho I dont like em
3 - Glock's
4 - 1911's
...and other nice odds and ends.
I can't get along without my Glock's or 1911's.

Glocks are great and all, especially for defensive guns, but anyone who enjoys shooting and gun ownership as much as I do could never own just glocks. Handguns I own: G19, G23, Kimber UCII, Springfield 1911-A1, Ruger SP101, Dan Wesson .44, Ruger Mark III Target, Walther P22 (with can), NAA Mini-Revolver (cause it's cool to have a gun that fits in your watch pocket). I also own several long guns, but we're not talkong about those, right?
I was headed that way until I decided that I really do like my Beretta 96, now I have a 92 to go with it. I also have 3 .22 pistols, but since Glock doesn't make a .22 they don't count :tongueout:

90% Glock with a few 1911's,revolvers,makarov's etc thrown in there.
My buddies at the gun club are all non Glock,so I take alot of ribbing when I open up my range bag. I enjoy shooting them all...

Glock 26 and 19 here.

In semi-autos...almost. I have a BHP that I will not get rid of. You seem to be thinking the same way I do about using the same holsters and accessories and such. You also have the added benefit of having the same or similar triggers and sights.
I did the same thing with revolvers. I have all Smiths...except for a Colt Python.
All of the boring talk and need some variety talk...don't listen to that unless you are wanting variety for variety's sake.
Glock is what I am looking for in a pistol (25 years of shooting everything I put my hands on). Inexpensive, accurate (for my needs), rugged, reliable, and simple.

How many people are there in the world with limited horizons. Now I can understand brand loyalty and all. But good Lord I would get tired locked in a room with ten copies of anything. Gentlemen it's just that that is so boring. Variety is the spice of life. I have guns from every major manufacturer that's worth having. I love all of them.
If the "Warden of Serious Shooters," told me to pick one pistol brand and that was all I ever needed it wouldn't be Glock. I don't see how I could bring myself to forsake all of the other brands and models of weapons to only buy one brand of anything, in rifle pistol or shotgun. Oh "The Horror The Horror!"
I have to think you who do are really missing out and limiting yourselves to a life of the same ole same ole.
Yawn !
That's like, ""Yeah I'll have the Pasta please,.......... no sauce ! ""

No Way:supergrin: - There are too many other great pistols to own in addition to my Glocks. I have 3 Glocks (G29, G30, G23), 2 Sigs (P220R two tone, P226 9mm) 1 Beretta (Italian 92FS INOX for 16 years) and a S&W model 19 with 3" barrel. I would think that owning several pistols of the same design would get old over time.

My girlfiends dad has all Glocks, he has some assorted other stuff that is for classes only but his are all glocks in .40 and 1 glock 19... hes polite enough not to snub my Sigs in front of me lol. Although he seems to be getting intrested in my 21sf.

My semi autos is only Glocks. Why? Because they work well and I shoot better if staying with one system (I tried the other road but didn´t like it).
Would I like other? Yes! But there is no $$ or time for a large scale collection.

For those of you that strand on the soap box and shout "VARIETY!, VARIETY!", you should understand that some people have had all the other "goodness" to be had from SIGs and 1911 style pistols from the legion of makers. Whether it is the heavy, blocky Ruger that people claims would have beat out the Beretta had it made it to the military trials or the base 600 dollar 1911 custom tuned to have laser beam accuracy, hit like a battleship but carry like a feather, and recoil like a cap gun, don't assume everyone has started with Glock, only shot Glock, and never experienced other makers.
With the exception of the 250, the 210, and the Mosquito, I have owned every model of SIG.
In 1911s, I have acquired, fired and let go Colts (in every size, caliber available), DW, Springfield, Norinco, Argentine 1927s. I have shot the Taurus 1911, the Sig GSR, and a few Detonics.
Berettas, Tauri and SWs have all made brief layovers and range trips.
I eventually tired of ALL of them and settled with Glocks. I was able to sell the myriad of holsters and other items required for the other brands. Now, with the few exceptions I listed in my first post, I have retained Glocks.
Would I have other guns? Yes. If I was to choose a .380, I would take a Colt Pony. I have had Walthers, Kel-Tecs and SIGs. They all had their issues.
.22s are a different animal. Glock doesn't make one and if they did, unless they made it a fixed barrel like the Ruger and others, it might not be as accurate. I have an AA conversion kit to help increase trigger time on my Glock systems, but If I wanted a .22 hunting pistol, I would look elsewhere.
Would I immediately jump on the ALL GLOCK EXPRESS if they made a carbine? I don't know. I would have to see how it worked.
The point of this whole post is.........well I guess, to vent. If you want a lot of different guns just to have a lot of different guns, go ahead. If I want to shoot a different brand, all I do is hit the range. Most people, especially friends, are glad to let someone else try out the latest and greatest firearm invention. Let me tell you, it is cheaper that way :whistling:
I will be as of Saturday (with the exception of my .22's). I like it that way as everything is consistent, which for a dummy like me makes life easier :)

Glocks for semis.... Smiths for wheelguns.
And BTW I am the original "ALL GLOCK"! :)
90% Glock with a few 1911's,revolvers,makarov's etc thrown in there.

Go ahead and vent. Firearms are very personal items, like automobiles. Some people drive one brand their whole lives and are happy campers.
I wouldn't think of someone like you when telling someone to try other things. You have, and come to a conscious conclusion as to what you like. But there are other's ( myself included) who's first gun was/is a Glock and become blinded to all others. I loved the Kool Aid and didn't think anything of it until I held a Sig. But that's me.
Granted this is a Glock forum, but it seems sometimes that if anyone even mentions another brand of gun, nothing but criticism's fly about anything other than Glock. Glocks are fantastic guns no doubt, but there are many fun, quality firearms available for those that do like "Variety".
Yes, several G19's is all I currently have. The only other handguns I've owned not made by Glock were a S&W .357, couple of CZ75's, and a Ruger .22; those are all gone.
In the Glock line, over the past 20 years, I've owned one or more of the 17, 20, 21, 22, 26, 29, 30, 32, and 34.....which have all been traded or sold. I really like the compact Glock's, and would not hesitate to add a 23 or 32. Safe to say that 95% of my handgun purchases have been Glock.
I would own Glocks as my only platform. As of right now I only own a G19 and a S&W Model 66. I plan to kinda stick to essentials because of budget and such. Going to add an 22 LR, an 870 Express, a G30SF, a G21SF, a 1911, a bolt action rifle and since my wife doesn't like "black rifles" I was thinking about wearing her down as she has more exposure to guns OR just by an Ruger mini 14 with a wood stock...I could claim it as a hunting rifle and she would probably never know the difference.:tongueout:
I really do like the simplicity and reliability of a Glock though...they will always be my "go to" handguns.
If I were to pick one single platform to use, it wouldn't be Glock, sorry. I also would never pick just one single platform, I like too many different makes and models and calibers to choose just one.
This is depressing.
Not that I care what everybody else chooses shoots or whether or not they are happy with it, but yup, I agree.
Variety is for collectors and recreational shooters.
This is one of the more idiotic statements I have read in some time. I would say familiarity with a variety of platforms is a good thing and certainly not relegated to simple recreation.
I love Glocks, and Smith revolvers.
