Well i have to confess, my Glock 26 has a lock, .. one of those factory installed ones in the grip, actually i was never planning on buying one of those things but my dealer only had this one and i got a good deal on it.
so far it never bothered me, mainly because i never used it.
today i was cleaning the gun and started to play around with that lock, and oh surprise, it does not work. if i squeeze the trigger two or three times while it is locked, little tab sticking out of the grip (not stupidly hard, just normal) the lock gives away and you could fire the gun even in the "locked" condition
so if i than unlock the gun, ( the little tap disappears in the grip ) the gun becomes locked, ... until i squeeze the trigger again two or three times and everything is back to normal
so, ... what should i do ?? take it as a given, never lock it again, and forget about it ?
if i have to send it back can just the lock be removed ??

Agreed.

You don't want that lock acting up when you don't have time to squeeze the trigger two or three times.

I hope that it works out for you. Hopefully that will be the last firearm that you buy with an internal lock.

As mentioned above, call Glock. They'll tell you to send it in. Try to have them send you a call tag, you might get one or you might not, but it never hurts to ask.

In the process of talking to them explain that you didn't really want the lock and now that it's acting up your even more convinced you don't want it. They may remove it for you, or if they see that as too much of a liability they may just replace your frame.
