I just bought a ukulele. Does anyone remember what the tuning is supposed to be? As I remember, the 4th string is an A, 3rd is a D, 2nd is F# Sharp, and the 1st is a B.

When played one note at a time, I remember the right tuning by singing the words "my dog has fleas." Does this sound correct? Thanks.

Does it matter? TipToe through the Tulips is always played/sang off-key anyway.

Sorry ... I have nothing constructive to add, that tune just jumped into my head from way back.

Free bump 4 u anyway

Some of the ukulele vids on youtube are amazing. Check 'em out if you haven't - they'll definitely change your opinion on what that little toy guitar is capable of.

I have always suspected that I have a special talent for "air ukulele". (Why can't I live my dream in international competition?)

Uketube? Lot's of skilled uke players there, but arguably one of the most popular is a 19-year old college student from upstate New York. Search Julia Nunes. Not way talented. Just fun. Something like 100,000 subscribers. :wow:

From some of her fingerings, it looks like her first uke was tuned like a guitar.

The bigger they are, the smaller the Uke looks.

Jake is cool.

But to tune a uke, raise it over your head with 2 hands. . . and smash it into your kitchen counter.

All tuned.
