Thanks Ponti, you aight for a grumpy ol' guy.
dang I feed my dogs pedigree but I dump it in a container and in order to know if its in the recall you need the bag........
$20 bag of feed is not worth my dogs life so I guess its going in the trash can.

Checked my 52 pound bag...it's good. Must be too far from Pa. so probably get it from a western plant.

I do the same thing so the ants don't get into the food. The container is almost empty but my dogs seem to be in top shape. No more poopoogree for them!!!

Don't currently have a cat, but I REALLY liked the low price on Special Kitty when I did.

Ironic that a candy company makes pet food too.

At least here in the United States we only have to worry about our Pets being poisoned.
In China, a powdered milk contaminated with melamine ( the same industrial chemical that killed so many dogs and cats in the USA last year from pet food using ingredients from China ) has now injured over 400 Babies. There is evidence that employees of the manufacturer, Sanlu Group, knew of the problems as early as March this year, but only alerted Chinese government officials a few days ago.
So far, the Chinese government has arrested 19 people, and are promising "severe punishment" for those responsible.
I wonder what the Chinese mean when they say "severe punishment"??
Here is a news report:

.
The last time I think they executed the head honcho. You would think that might get their attention.

We just opened a 52# bag of Pedigree this week. Has the upc code listed, but the stamped code is different. Got it from Costco. Going to call the company tomorrow to double check.
