I may be sending my G 22 back to Glock for a broken extractor and a going over does anyone know if Glock offers a re-bluing and if so is it affordable not the barrel just the slide.
Cost used to be $45.00 but may have increased. Glock does not do the refinishing. Once or twice a month they send slides to an outside vendor for refinishing.

I would just buy a new extractor and replace it myself rather than have the down time of shipping the gun, etc. Glock can refinish but "bluing" is not the typical finish for a Glock.

Will Glock perform a 1st time free maint inspection and replace all worn parts and springs and I only pay for shipping one way anyone heard of this?

Also, Glocks were never blued. Older ones were phosphated and the newer ones are some type of high tech epoxy paint.

It will cost you about $60.00 to ship overnight & make sure you ad extra insurance and dig out the receipt. DO NOT listen to them if they tell you it can be sent ground. Mine ended up stolen 3 hours from my house from Fed-Ex
It now has a body on it and has it's own spot in a Charlotte, NC evidence bin, for who knows how long.

He can send it Ground, Priority, first class, or horse and carriage... He is sending the upper, not the lower, I believe. he is concerned about the extractor and refinishing, nothing to do with the receiver.

isn't there someone local that can do it for you? It would save you some money like that since you dont pay shipping.
I have a local guy that does complete guns mostly 1911's in a high polish blue for $125 or a matte blue for $100

He was also asking about having the full refurbish job done on it springs etc...
for that the frame would have to go back. That does have to be overnight. Say what you will about S&W but they will e-mail you a call tag for repairs on one of there pistols.

AFAIK, CGW does not actually do bluing on Glocks. At least, I haven't heard that they do. The coating they use comes in the color "Gun Blue", among other colors. In any case, I can recommend their products and service.
