Notch in the Magazine?

Hi,

Just ordered a couple spare mags for the G17, and the have a notch taken out of the plastic. Could anyone tell me what this is for?

The answer has already appeared in this forum about 100 times. It is the new style magazine that will also work in ambi-release frames if Glock ever makes ambi-release frames.

You're more than likely right coach but without photos the "notch" may be a defect. Or it may not be. Or it may be. Or maybe not. Or maybe.

danny is correct. its for the not currently existant ambi release
