David Blaine is not really hanging upside down for 60 hours, according to FOXNews.com's eyewitness who photographed the magician standing right-side up Tuesday.
The revelation would seem to deflate Blaine's latest stunt, but a representative for the 35-year-old magician said he never intended to stay upside down for 60 consecutive hours.
"About once an hour he has to come down for a medical check, to stretch, and to relieve himself, because even David Blaine can't do that upside down," said Patrick Smith, an executive vice president at Rubenstein Associates. "He has said all along that there will be times when he must get his head above his heart."
OK, so what's the point of this stunt again? Is it really anything special that the guy gets constant breaks? BTW, he also cheated during the block of ice imprisonment - a body double switched on and off with him.

I don't remember seeing it on the internet but a TV show that exposed magicians secrets. They showed the little compartment below the block of ice where Blaine and the body double would switch on and off. It had a little refrigerator of food, a TV, and a bed.

He doesn't advertise these particular stunts as a magic act but as a feat of endurance. This is the second time I've heard of where he's cheated on a supposed endurance record.
He can't pee upside down? He never would have made it through hazing in my college fraternity.

I have participated in this illusion on stage before. Albeit with a .38 revolver, but the trick is not hard with the right apparatus and a lot of practice.

Reading this post made me think of all of the "hunger strikes" that people pull. Yet they head off to a restaurant or to get something to eat during the "hunger strike". Wow, definitely defeats the purpose. Also, those emails telling people to punish the oil companies by not buying fuel on Tuesday but that is right, the next day everyone is filling up their car again.
All I have to say is STUPID.

And he'll catch a bullet from an MP-5. Just not in his hand or teeth. Well, maybe teeth. LOL
He's a magic-tool.
Such a damn fake. I got called in to see the end of the show and he held a metal cup in his mouth and was shot with a .22. When he jumped he fell a few feet and was quickly pulled up into the sky by a harness. You could tell the crowd wasn't pleased as it was completely silent when they ended it.

i didn't get the ending of the show? was he supposed to jump and land without the harness being seen/helping him from free falling? weird ending and looks like things went awry and they swooped him up and away
